Stage 6: Puenta la Reina to Ayegui. 25 kms Sunny, 28C

Annemarie has written us a little more poetry today as we sit in a small piaza bar drinking 2 very cold beers:) St
She tells me that I inspired this one this morning...so please enjoy my inspiration, as aside from wa
King its about all I can manage...still 2kms to walk in this heat before we rest.

The River Flows Gently

We pilgrims form a river that gently flows
From St. Jean to Santiago or other place only the pilgrim knows

The river pools each evening as pilgrims gather
For rest or conversation, whichever they'd rather

As the river flows through the day
Conversations burble along the way

Tributaries break in each little village
As the bars and bathrooms the pilgrims pillage

Only to form a waterfall as they leave
Then down to a trickle as pilgrims behind us we leave

To gather again at the next way point
To greet only a new friend when once again we join

The river ebbs and flows as the days go by
We are so pleased to be part of this river, it's a bit of a high
