I've seen this woman before. On another Camino?
I hadn't really expected to see her again on one of these journeys, but here she is!
And I've seen this guy before, too! (Annemarie interjecting here)
We left thoughts there for a few good friends and then walked onwards. As usual it was very beautiful in the fog. We are moving into the Cahors wine region, and have sampled these wines on several occasions. Not bad!

Some very nice scenery as well, and I think Annemarie really enjoyed the route today.
A fairly short leg, but a good way for Annemarie to sort herself out on a first day, and she did just fine!
Our day started a bit slowly, and as we headed out the door (finally) Cahors was shrouded in fog.
As usual, the day began with a stiff climb out of town. I've missed those the past couple of days!
We climbed up to the iron cross, but sadly no view.
Once we finished the climb it was easy to see that the climbing will be done for a while. The trail appears to have transitioned from a good strenuous hike into a pleasant walk with some nice trails today.
There was certainly plenty of evidence of the storm that raced through here damaging things as it went past. This small province of Mott was the hardest hit in France with a state of emergency established. What I photographed today was just along side the trail, so nothing too bad.
But all of it quite manageable two days later.
We are at Gite Le Bouy tonight in a four bed dorm and have showered and washed our clothes. Dinner tonight will be communal and I'm pretty sure we are the only Anglophones in the house. Should be fun!

It all feels very familiar for me too, although the language and the food are different, the rhythm of the walk has returned, and I suspect a poem or two will come along in good time...not yet, though.
